Imagine growing your own Papaya tree and noticing that it never bears fruit, only flowers. Do not get frustrated; these male papaya flowers have medicinal properties that you or your loved ones might need.
The male papaya plant has elongated inflorescences with a greater number of flowers, while the female plant has fewer flowers with enlarged ovaries, according to Shukoor (2023). Papaya flowers are known for their appealing fragrance, an important characteristic of aromatic beverages. According to Vij & Prasha (2015), male papaya flowers are traditionally used to treat several diseases such as coughs and jaundice, and also aid in reducing fever.
